Dear CA golfers and parents,
I hope everyone is getting excited about golf. As coaches, we are looking forward to another successful fall season and want to encourage you to prepare yourselves over the coming weeks to be your best when the season begins on Monday, August 10. As always, that is a week earlier than other fall sports, make sure to mark it on your calendar.
We will have our Parent Meeting at 5:00pm on Monday August 10. Please make every effort to attend!
Our varsity will consist of the top 6-10 players. The rest will have opportunities to compete in JV and C level tournaments, as we will schedule a wide range of events to give everyone a chance to experience tournament play. The scores of our top ten returning players last year averaged 83-98.
In order to be considered for a varsity position, you are expected to be present and participate in all our practices. We will have multiple qualifying rounds during the week of August 10. There will be further opportunities to qualify for events as the season progresses, but many of our tournaments take place during the first three weeks of the season band those spots will be filled largely based on your initial performance.
I am attaching a partial schedule, and some of the practice locations / times may change. Also, most of our JV and C-Team events are yet to be scheduled.
